Every organisation is unique and creating policies and procedures takes time. The time it will take to complete each module will vary depending on your organisation, your capacity, your collection, and the module you are working on.
Circumstances which may increase the time it will take for your organisation to complete a module include:
- the policy or procedure involved is new to your organisation
- your organisation's policies and procedures need to be formally adopted by an external governing body
- the content of the module requires your organisation to liaise with external agencies such as State and local government departments
- development of the policy or procedure requires your organisation to undertake external consultation
Once policies and procedures have been formally adopted by the governing body, they also need to be implemented at your organisation. This will take additional time.
